If you like golf, there’s nothing quite like a U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. I was lucky enough to play the course as a 40th birthday gift from my wife. Walked the course with a veteran caddy who gave me yardage, helped me read putts and gave me a hole-by-hole history of the course. It was about as nice a walk as I’ve ever taken. A beautiful, sunny day with very little wind. The perfect day to put up a low score if I had any real talent at the game. But I had my camera with me, and coming up the hill on 6, I managed to snap a quick picture of the view. It was the only picture I took that day. The next few holes were so spectacular, I forgot all about my camera.
